25 Things to Do in Burnham Park Baguio City
Burnham Park is a witness to many childhood memories, first dates, practices for school events, and other priceless moments across many generations for Baguio City and neighboring towns residents. As a child, a trip to the park has always been a treat. We had countless picnics, strolls, and family dates in it.
Even my 78-year-old has a fond memory of Burnham Park. When they first came to La Trinidad, a neighboring town of Baguio City, they would collect cattle dung and sell them for 5 cents per sack. Then they would walk seven kilometers to reach the park. They would not use their money for fares. Instead, they would use it to buy a cone of ice cream.
The pandemic halted activities at the park but it is now back to its lively state; busy with a myriad of movements from sunrise to night.
Going back here feels different as a parent. It’s my turn to treat our children with core memories here at our beloved park.
