Let the girls be whatever they want to be,
whatever you don’t want them to be.
Let them explore and wander,
to places you never allowed them to be.

Let girls play roughly,
and feel that scratches are painful but not fatal.
Let them say no,
no matter how much it offends you.

Let girls make messes,
girls are children too.
Let them laugh as loud as they want to,
a girl’s happiness should not disturb you.

Let every space be safe for girls,
it’s a shame how we limit their options just to keep them safe.
Let everyone protect our girls,
her safety is your safety too.

Let girls dream,
no matter how far-fetched, are all valid.
Let girls do,
don’t be surprised when she is able to.

Let girls lead,
and take us to heights we’ve never seen.
Let the girls be,
like you, she’s capable human too.
